The Best Exfoliating Scrub Is Made... By You!
All natural and feels oh, so good.
Exfoliating your skin not only makes it look healthier but makes a lot of grooming chores a lot easier. Exfoliating your legs help self tanners look more natural and also makes for a closer, softer shave. Using a nice scrub on your face allows your makeup to look more natural and gives you a youthful glow.
Unfortunately it's not easy to find a really GOOD scrub. Most have waxy ingredients that leave what feels like an oil slick all over the shower floor… and you. You're absorbing that, you know! There are a few good coffee scrubs but the really good ones are so expensive, and last maybe 7 full body scrub sessions before you have to buy more.
My dear reader, have no fear: You probably own the two ingredients needed to make the best, most effective exfoliating scrub on the earth. The recipe: Honey and regular white sugar.
Drop a few tablespoons of honey in a small bowl or ramekin, and put a tablespoon at a time of white sugar in at a time. Mix until the consistency is neither runny nor solid - A good test is to take a small amount on the tip of your finger and rub your hand with it. If it rubs easily on your skin, it’s ready. If it clumps or doesn’t break up right away, you put too much sugar in. If you rub and you feel no sugar or roughness, it needs more sugar.
You can also use brown sugar but I find it to be too coarse to use on delicate skin like the face and neck area. I also choose not to use lemon juice because in hot full sun climates, lemon could actually cause your skin to burn in the sunlight.
Whats great about this is that it can be kept for a while in the fridge in a container with a lid. Try this full body on your next shower when you have some extra time and make sure to give your shower an extra rinse afterwards!
